1. APPAREL PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT: “It takes a village country to produce a successful apparel line for retail”.

• Pre-production Activities: trend forecasting, line development, pattern development & grading, prototyping, fitting & sizing etc.

• Production Activities: apparel production systems, production planning.

• Post production Activities: finishing, packing and folding, quality control, shipping.

Are you a seamstress or fashion designer ready to take your sewing to a more professional level?

Do you want to learn easy but very effective couture techniques to finish your garments?

Every seamstress or fashion design should realize that an exquisite finishing can make a garment look like a million dollars.

During this seminar attendees will learn the importance of finishing techniques in garment making. With proper finishing techniques on garments, seamstresses and fashion designers can charge more for their services.

Topics to be covered include:
• How to sew darts (the most important sewing on a garment)

• How to hem different types of garments.

• Sewing techniques for different fabrics (French seams, Hong Kong finish, flat felled finish for jeans etc)

• Couture details (decorative pin tucks, perfect gathers, fabric yoyos and much more)
