It is often said that cultures that do not evolve eventually die out. A cultural evolution took place recently in KwaDukuza (also known as Stanger) a town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa where the first African traditional gay wedding was held. South Africa remains the only African country that allows gay marriage as others including Nigeria, Uganda and recently The Gambia have shown that being Gay could be a criminal offense.
