Ghanaian menswear label Son’s of Elizabeth recently released these cool beads Made from Middle Eastern onyx and ornaments.Nazia is a permutation of our mother’s middle name, Nana Azia, which means industrious. The word bead is derived from the Old English word for “prayer”. For our mother, the culmination of her industriousness and prayer has been her life’s success. Thus, the inspiration behind the name Nazia has shaped the underlying premise of the company, Sons of Elizabeth: we are a representation and the continuation of the legacy of Her work. More images after the jump.

Personal Statement
For us, the beads signal a time to be industrious and prayerful about all things. In a world where faith is ebbing, the beads are meant to stand as an iota of the message we intend to project with our brand. We hope to inspire people to be prayerful, always remembering that dreams are attainable.

Craftsmanship
Made from Middle Eastern onyx and ornaments, the beads are strung together in an age-old family tradition, with craftsmanship and quality that is unparalleled. Hand selected by us, these beads are one-of-a-kind, and of limited quantity. Each one of them has a unique look, and comes with a personally autographed message from Nana Azia, matriarch of the family business.

Let your Nazia beads serve as a constant reminder that prayer builds industries, and may you ever be the channel of inspiration.

Efharisto,

The Sons
