Hi there Spencer. Could you tell us about yourself and what you do?

Hello, well I am a student studying Fashion Marketing in Montreal, Canada. As well I do free-lance styling, photography and videography. Which all my work can be seen at Proprpostur.

So you live in Canada? How is the fashion scene over there?

The fashion scene in Canada I feel is over looked too much. There is some great talent and minds up north. It really needs to be showcased to the rest of the world. For those who may not look at Canada as a country for fashion inspiration, what sources of fashion inspiration are there apart from the occasional fashion weeks?

Well personally I grab all my inspiration off of everyday people I see on the street.

Your blog has some fascinating content, what inspires it and what do you want to show viewers?

Life. Is what inspires me the most, the people I encounter, the ups and downs, trial and errors. Is what really inspires me and my content. I want to show my viewers ME before anything else. This is the main reason why I am beginning to incorporate more than just style into my blog.

How would you describe your style?

My style is pretty much classical and tradition. At times it is of course experimental, but my base is tradition.

It is also safe to say your style isn’t simple, are there any cautions or boundaries you have mentally in relation to the way you wear things?

I pay very much close attention to detail so no I wouldn’t considerate it simple at all. I try not to have any boundaries. I don’t see why people would need to set boundaries up for themselves to begin with. It’s like walking backwards.

Do you follow trends? And what trend are you currently feeling?

No, I rarely follow trends. But this summer I have been pulled in to the trend of “colour blocking”.

Accessories are definitely your thing, what do you look for in accessories before purchasing them.

When looking for accessories I usually target more cultural inspired pieces. I’ve always been intrigued by diversity and cultural differences.

What determines your outfit for the day and how do you go about choosing it?

Really it’s just how I am feeling as soon as I wake up in the morning. And then I usually just grab on piece like a shirt or waist coat. And just build around it.

Have you got any style icons?

I really admire Andre 3000 and Peter Doherty.

Can you give us 5 fashion tips?

No belts with suspenders.

Be yourself.

Make sure you’re comfortable in what you wear.

Try different things.  Experiment from time to time.

Don’t get lost trying to copy others. Always add your own little twist
